Aerosmith is an American hard rock band from Boston, MA. They were first formed in 1970 after future aerosmith members Joe Perry and Tom Hamilton, were asked by Steven Tyler to join a band with him in after he set eyes on them in 1969. They agreed and recruited guitarist Ray Tabano , who was later replaced by Brad Whitford, and cut their first album in 1973.
